We offer some of the most extreme and exhilarating mountain biking or Motor bike adventures by standing on the roof top of the world ,encompassed by snow caped ranges. The Tibet cycling or motor cycling Adventure comprises indispensable spiritual and cultural experiences by visiting most active historical monasteries and bustling local streets, gradually heads up to the west and pass through diverse landscapes of the young himalayan region, then spend a night at the foot of world,s highest peak – Mt. Everest and get a chance to see the famous gold face of the peak at sunset.

We continue bike over last couple of passes and then head into to very sacred Mt. Kailash and an ancient Guge kingdom, the wonderland of tibet . Potala palace, founded in 7th century can be one of the highlight of the tour despite of visiting some  Historical monasteries of some hundred year old.

The golden cycling OR moto biking season is from May to October. Winter is not appropriate to ride due to cold weather and icy roads and here.

Mountain biking in Tibet is for the adventurous and the hardy! The roads are long and hard and the altitude is a force to be reckoned with, so is the wind!!! Detailed Itinerary
1st day at Lhasa(3600 mt high):

Upon arrival, our guide and the driver will greet you either at airport or railway station and ride motor bike to your respective hotel in Lhasa, stay at hotel for adapting to the high altitude, as it, s good if you don,t push yourself harsh and take it easy.  Even if you want to ride out , make it light as it, s your first day in Tibet. And make sure that you drink mineral water more than usual. Try to avoid having alcohol on first three nights in Tibet. Your guide will introduce you the tomorrow, s itinerary.

2nd day at Lhasa:

Full day sightseeing of Lhasa, in the morning, you can visit the treasure house Potala Palace- the center attraction of whole Lhasa. It is founded in 7th century and since then it had been used as a palace of every successive leaders of Tibet. In the afternoon, your guide will lead you to visit the Sera monastery, which was founded in 1419, in 15th century. It, s the second largest yellow hat lineage monastery in whole Lhasa. if you are hiking enthusiast or don, t show any sign of altitude sickness, ask your guide to lead an hour hiking through the pilgrimage path around the monastery and it, s worth taking chance. While visiting monastery, you will witness the monks doing philosophical debates in the courtyard.

3rd day at Lhasa:

Today, we will visit Drepung monastery, it was once the largest yellow hat lineage monastery of whole of Tibet and it was founded in 1416 and one get to see some magnificent statues of Buddha which are dated back to 15th century. Even if it was badly affected during the cultural revolution, but still some of the original buildings which are dated back to 15th century can be seen even today.

In the afternoon, your guide shall guide to the Jokhang temple which is situated in the old Tibetan quarter of Lhasa. It was founded in 7th century, considered one of the first Buddhist temple ever built up in whole Tibet, founded even before the full fledge Buddhism came to Tibet. Founding this Buddhist temple is a mark of initiating the Buddhism here. After the visit, we advise you to take a circumambulation around the temple, as you can witness some of hundred year old authentic buildings and you will come across hundreds of local pilgrims doing pilgrimage circuit around the temple. If you are interested in shopping, you will be welcomed by souvenir shop owners. You will be escorted to the hotel by our tour guide.

4th day Drak Yerpa- Ganden monastery(30km – 60km)

Drak yerpa is 30 km away from Lhasa and it is one of the best place to ride motor because of it, s land formation and the beautiful panorama will boost you to ride further to Ganden monastery. Ganden monastery is as beautiful as Drak yerpa and we have to cover 60km further from here to reach there

5thday Gyangtse  (13467ft high, 260 km)

Today, we start bit early as we have to cover 260km and the journey involves crossing of two high passes Kamba La (15,700 ft) and Karo La (16,500ft) and will ride through beautiful Yamdrok Tso Lake which is 40 miles long. Yamdrok Tso Lake is one of the four holiest lakes of Tibet and has turquoise green water. As we leave the lakeshore behind, the road climbs to Karo La (16,500ft) pass, where you will make a short stop as you will discover a huge Mt. Nyechenkangsar (7190mt) capped with huge glacier. The whole journey from Lhasa to Gyangtse takes 10 hours long.

Once you arrive the destination, you shall see a huge ancient fortress as well as beautiful

Monastery. If time permits, your guide will lead you to visit Palchoe monastery , if not one can do the sightseeing next morning. In short, the whole journey takes you through awesome valley and breath taking panorama. We will check in hotel and relax at Gyangtse town.

6th day Shigatse(12,785ft high, 90km)

After breakfast, we will visit the Pelkor Chode and Kumbum Monastery-the main highlights of Gyantse City.  Kumbum Stupa is the landmark of Gyantse and can be spotted from a long distance. If you are a hiking enthusiast, you may also attempt hiking the historical fortress of Gyantse. View from the fortress over the city is just superb. From Gyantse, it is 2 hours ride to Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet.  The journey will be through native people,s farm land and this region has got the most fertile land in whole central Tibet and it is known as “land of barley”. Once we arrive Shigatse, we check in hotel and later ride a motorbike through the Shigatse’ s Flea market which is a nice bargaining place for Tibetan souvenir.  In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Tashi Lhunpo monastery .

7th and 8thShegar(4300) and Mt.Everest base camp(5200mt)

Since you are all set with acclimatisation, we gradually ascend into the mountainous Himalayan terrain by traversing few remarkable passes, you will have the best view of five Himalayan mountains which are above 8000 m. from the ridge of Gyawu la pass (5150mt), numbers of snow caped peaks appearing out from the rest like warriors among the soldiers, through the barren mountains but astonishing landscapes and photogenic villages within the hilly valleys. As, we arrive Rongbuk (4900mt), you will have seriously a marvellous view of world, s tallest mountain. So, you either check in guest house or tent to spend your night . In the afternoon, You can ride motor bike to the famous Mt. Everest base camp, as we have to cover 8 km more from Rongbuk monastery.

9th day Rongbuk – Old Tingri (4250m) 75km.

Tingri is a small town consisting different famous mountains around and a hot spring water nearby. Tingri is our next destination and we have to bike on the mountains and bumpy road as we ride further. Our biking distance for the day is only 75km. It will be a nice idea to take a bath in  hot spring water after spending couple of nights without shower and to take a bath, you have to ride 9km further to Tsamda hot spring place from old Dingri. Scenery of the day is quite unique and we may see some of the wild animals right after crossing the pass Namla (5000m), on a vast empty grassland. Overnight at local guesthouse or camping.

10th  – 11th  day Pikutso lake, Dzongka xian and kyirong kao

This whole Motor biking tour will take you from very dry place to an extreme wet place and from the very high Plateau to a very low region comparatively. In the beginning you will riding through the dingri region , witnessing the ancient ruins which were destroyed in 18th century. Manpu is the last place where you will have view of three giant peaks ie mt. Everest( 8848m.), cho oyu (8201m) and lhotse (8501m) and after riding further you will see another giant peak, shishabangma(8012m) and this will be a last high mountain of your trip and then not very far from there, you will see a beautiful lake, pikutso lake and then will continue riding over a pass . then you have entered the kyirong region and you will be riding down most of the time . most of the time, you will be riding in kyirong valley, engrossed with thick greenery and continue journey to a low place up to 2000 m.

12th day Departure

Although , Kathmandu is not really far from here in terms of distance, but still we suggest you to depart as early as possible, because the road condition is not so favourable. Here, we conclude our  Tibet cycling adventure. We are quite confident that you will return your home with so much of sweet memories and our guide will see you off at kyirong friendship bridge.

1st day kyirong kao

Our Tibetan guide will greet you at the friendship bridge and will take you to kyirong kaon as you have to ride 24 km further from the bridge. It will be good idea to relax at guest house and prepare or make your motor bikes ready for the following journey.

2nd – 3rd day Saga village(250km)- Baryang village(250km)

on this journey, you will be riding motor bike over some pass and most of the time, we will witness Himalayan ranges and some isolated villages where yaks and sheep are being gazed in the beautiful grassland. As you ride bike further from Saga town, right after crossing the pass, you shall see a historic Dargyeling monastery, perched upon a hill and it, s worth visiting this monastery. Moreover , on some occasion , you may meet different wild life and it will be nice idea to stop the bike And take some pictures. The most scenic point you will come across is a pass, just before arriving Baryang village. On top of this pass, you can take some lovely pictures of vast sand dune and the yarlung river and some snow covered mountains at the back ground.

4th day Manasarovar lake(500 km/4560mt|14957ft)

We start little earlier than usual, as today will be the longest journey of your whole trip as we have to cover 250km and have to ride over very high pass, Mayumla pass(5216m.)and the trip involves crossing several sandy rivers and  couple of vast sand dunes. As we arrive Manasarovar lake site, we will have first glance of holy Mt. Kailash and we still have to cover 40km more to reach our destiny.

5th day Zanda town 3650mt/11972ft|250km)

This whole journey will be through very dry region , will give you some mesmerizing view of land scape and the mountains around the whole valley . The whole chain of mountain will appear something unnatural even if these are natural. Each mountain are around you will depict different shapes of different object. Some of them do have a shape of stupa, some do have a shape of castle etc. you will have the best view as you ride over Jingla pass(5100m/16728ft).I am sure, you won,t stop taking pictures of these magnificent mountains. There in Zanda town, the sun set is quite late and you will have plenty of time to explore the region.

6th day Zanda(Tholing)

Right after the breakfast, your guide will lead you to visit the famous Tholing Monastery ,founded in the middle of 10th century. The murals or paintings and statues of Buddha which you witness are something exceptional and you may not find such in any other part of Tibet. The whole sightseeing of the monastery takes two hours and you shall have lunch at the town.

In the afternoon, you will be led to Guge kingdom, covering 17 km east of Tholing, Now, it, s time to explore the ancient Guge kingdom and it, s worthful to climb on top of the Guge Palace as you will have whole view of Tsaprang Region. There ,your guide will show you two different kind of palaces, the winter palace and the summer. Again, the painting in this palace are absolutely different from any other temple in Tibet.

7th day Thirthapuri (4300M|14104ft\180km)

Today , we have to return from the same way and after covering 170km, we cut the main road and turn right further 10km and you will arrive Thirthapuri, and we do encourage you to take a bath in hot spring water and after having good relax, your guide will lead you to visit local moastery. There , you will see the cave in which master Padmasambhava took meditation in 8th century.

8th – 9th  day trip Saga

It, s time to return now, we will be riding back to Saga town through same way.

10th day Old Dingri (4300mt./260km)

This time, you will be riding bike over unsurfaced road most of the time and you have to cover 260km to reach your next destination. Today, you will see some of the World,s highest mountains, the following are Mt. Shishabagma (8012mt), Mt.Lhotse (8501mt) , Mt.Cho Oyu(8201mt)and Mt.Everest (8848mt). Moreover, you will see a beautiful lake (Pikutso)on your journey to Old Dingri. Old Dingri is a small village, from where you will have view of some of these mountains from your guest house and you can take a beautiful pictures of the sunset and sunrise.

11th day Rongbuk (4900mt./78km)

Today, you have to bike over little bumpy road and need to cover 78 km ,you shall see some amazing snow covered Himalayan mountains and within 6-7 hours of ride, you will reach Rongbuk monastery , and you do have optional either spend a night in monastery guest house or in a tent guest house. You are now, only 8 km away from Everest Base camp, either you do short trek or take eco bus to the Everest base camp(5200 mt). you can visit the Rongbuk and will have whole day to explore the region.

12th shegar(4300m/ 100km)

After seeing the sun rise of Mt. Everest, we depart from Rongbuk and we have to cover 100km today, and we need to ride bike over yet another high pass, Gawula pass (5150)

Which is a scenic point and we will have breathtaking view of five mountain peaks which are above

8000m. high, including Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse(8501m),Mt. Makalu,(mt27825ft). Cho Oyu (8201m) and Mt. Shishabangma (8012m).

14th day Shigatse (240km/3800mt):

Today will be last day to see the world ,s highest peak and it will be good idea to stop at the view point to take some last pictures of Mt. Everest and then we have to ride over the highest pass your trip and it is Gyatsola pass (5248m) and then you will riding bike on famous friendship high way and as we arrive Shigatse, if you are not tired then your guide will take you to visit Tashi Lhunpu monastery. Check in hotel

14th day Gyangtse(12,785ft, 57miles,90km)

After breakfast, we will visit the Tashi Lhunpu Monastery- the main highlight of Shigatse   City.  From Shigatse, its less than 2 hour drive to Gyangtse, The journey will be mainly through native people, s farm land and the region has got the most fertile land in whole central Tibet and it is known as “land of barley”. Once we arrive Gyangtse, we check in hotel and later take a relaxing walk through the old authentic traditional town.

In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Kumbum Stupa which is the landmark of Gyantse and can be spotted from a long distance. If you are a hiking enthusiast, you may also attempt hiking the historical fortress of Gyantse. View from the fortress over the city is just superb..

15th day Lhasa ( 13467ft,3650mt/ 260 km)

Today, we drive to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet. This will be the most scenic drive whole package. The journey involves crossing of two high passes Kamba La (15,700 ft) and Karo La (16,500ft) and will drive you through beautiful Yamdrok Tso Lake which is 40 miles long. Yamdrok Tso Lake is one of the four holiest lakes of Tibet and has turquoise green water. Karo La (16,500ft) pass will be the point which we cross today, we make a short stop ,you will discover a huge Mt. Nyechenkangsar(7190mt) capped with huge glacier. The whole journey from Gyangtse to Lhasa takes 7 hours long.

4th day Lhasa – Chushul Bridge. 80km.

Today it is an easy day as we bike from Lhasa to Chushul Bridge on the Friendship Highway and there is no passes to climb up. However, we will ride bike along the Lhasa river and meet the famous Yarlung Tsangpo River (it also called Brahmaputra River when it falls in India) at Chushul. After our lunch stop along the route, we will continue to cover few more kilometers to reach our destination . Camping

5th day Chushul -Yamdrok Lake (4770m). 70km.

Today is comparatively hard day, as we will climb over the Gampala pass (4900m) through numbers of switch backs. Though it can be challenging with this altitude and steep road but your supporting trucks will keep you watching and if you want, you can take the car for some distance and then continue biking after having relax. Once you get on top of the pass, the amazing view of the lake gives you wonderful and worth full feeling of your journey. You can also see the great glacier Neychen Khangsar (7191m), surrounding by different snow-caped mountains all around. Ascending from the pass for 19km, we are going to camp near the lake. But we may not encourage you to swim because the lake is considered to be holy lake for local people. Camping

6th day Yamdrok Lake –Ralung village (4350m) 80km.

Today we bike to Ralung or further based on the physical condition of the group members, riding over the southern friendship highway along the Yamdrok Lake and enjoy the beautiful movement of the journey, moving further to the next town that is Nagartse (4400m), a small town which is very popular for lunch stops for tourist. On the left side of the town on a small hill, you can see a monastery called Samding monastery. Many Tibetans believe that the monastery is the home of the earthly incarnation of the goddess Droji Phakmo. However, the second challenging pass is near by the town, Karola pass (5039m). After having a good rest and taking lunch at the same time. Be ready for your new challenge. Once you cross pass, the great and gigantic Nyechen Khangsar Glacier is gazing at you to take some photos meanwhile. And today, s camp site is quite near after the pass and if possible you can carry on some more kilometers. Camping

7th day Ralung village – Gyangtse (3980m) 70km.

By crossing the Semila pass (4348m), a pass from where Tibetans believe to find previous stone called Dze in the early days, thats how the pass was named semila pass. However, as you descend from the pass the Manak River offer you another picturesque. Next to the river is the Manak Dam and then proceed to Gyangtse (Hero’s town). If you are not exhausted, you can proceed to visit Palchoe monastery , else you can do it next day morning. Overnight at Gyangtse.

8th day Gyangtse – Shigatse (3900m) 90km.

Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet, where you can find more traditional things including the tibetan Barley Beer. Locals sitting near the road in groups and enjoying the barley beer is another kind of unique thing that you can find very commonly in this region. As we arrive there, you get an opportunity to explore the old flea market of the city and it is quite nice place to buy souvenir and there, you can bargain a lot. We spend the rest of the day to relax ,Overnight at Shigatse.

9th day Shigatse – Larong village (4300m) 80km.

Before we start biking, we will visit the famous Tashi Lhunpu monastery first and will proceed biking from Shigatse to Larong village. In addition, there is no passes to climb up today yet we have to bike for 80km. We bike on the Friendship Highway, mostly near by the road where you see so many typical villages and farmland. Yaks are the primary animals that are used for the ploughing and harvesting since from early days. However, on the way you can also see some of the ruins of forts and small monasteries. You would cherish the magnificent landscapes in the area. Camping.

10th day Tso la – Lhatse (3950m). 70km.

Today we cross the Tsola pass (4500m) and the ridge of the pass is marked with heaps of colorful prayer flags flapping in the wind, from there you can see some of the snow caped mountains around and then descending road to the next town Lhatse. Overnight at Lhatse or camping near the Gyatso la pass.

11th day Lhatse – Shegar (4300m) 90km.

We start to bike either from Lhatse or the campsite. Gyatso la pass is the highest pass along the road with altitude of 5248m. Obviously, it is very challenging for you. Moreover, it takes 7-8hours to bike until to the top of the pass from where you can see the panorama of great Himalayans in the North and you will chance to see the highest peak of the world, ie Mt. Everest for the first time. However, once you get there the road is slope and it, s very easy for you to bike down despite of the windy climate. Camping or hotel.

12th day Shegar – Pasum village (4440m) 65km.

Today we will cross the border check point and then off the friendship high way and ride into a long valley over the road, crossing the Gawula  pass (5150m) through its zigzag road for 24km and then descending way down to the campsite. This part of the trip we can’t bike too fast because of the road conditions. From the pass you can see the distant views of 5 major peaks of the Himalayan which are above 8000m.high. One very attractive thing is that there are around 117 zigzags on both sides of the pass. Tashi Zom village is nearest village on the other side of the pass where we can stop for a tea if necessary. The campsite is situated 12km further from the village. Camping.

13th day Pasum – Rongbuk monastery (5100m) 55km.

After having breakfast at Pasum village, we will bike to tracing the river upstream to Rongbuk monastery, which is the highest monastery in the world. Exploring the way of life in Tibetan society both by the nomadic and peasants. Biking towards the Everest region gives you extraordinary feeling of being at rooftop of the world. However, we still have to bike along the Rongbuk River originated from Rongbuk Glacier. Through the valley we will keep move of the left side and before we reach to the Rongbuk Bridge, we can see the north face of the Everest. We bike until to the Rongbuk monastery and then spent the night at the camping area. Before sunset, we will see the golden roof of the Everest as well. Camping or guesthouse.

14th day Exploration and rest day at Rongbuk.

Today we will spend another day here and after breakfast, we go to EBC (Everest Base Camp) by minibus or we can bike as well. From the campsite to the EBC is 8km. after viewing the great view of the Everest, rest of day is to explore around and relax.

15th day Rongbuk – Old Tingri (4250m) 75km.

Old Tingri is a small town consisting different kinds of famous mountains around and a hot spring nearby. Tingri is our next destination and we have to bike on the mountains and bumpy road as we ride further. Our biking distance for the day is only 75km. It will be a nice idea to take a bath in a hot spring water after spending couple of nights without shower and to take a bath, you have to ride 9km further to Tsamda hot spring place from old Dingri. Scenery of the day is quite unique and we may see some of the wild animals right after crossing the small pass Namla (5000m), on a vast empty grassland. Overnight at local guesthouse or camping.

16th – 19th day Manpu, Pikutso lake and kyirong kao

This whole cycling tour will take from very dry place to an extreme wet place and from the very high Plateau to a very low region comparatively. In the beginning you will riding through the Dingri region with dry region , witnessing the ancient ruins which were destroyed in 18th century. Manpu is the last place where you will have view of three giant peaks I e Mt. Everest ( 8848m.), Cho Oyu (8201m) and Lhotse (8501m) and after riding further you will see another giant peak, Shishabangma(8012m) and this will a last high mountain of your trip and then not very far from there, you will see a beautiful lake, Pikutso lake and then will continue riding over a pass , then you have entered the kyirong region and you will be riding down most of the time . Most of the time, you will be riding in kyirong valley, engrossed with thick greenery and continue journey to a low place up to 2000 m.

20th day Departure

Although , Kathmandu is not really far from here in terms of distance, but still we suggest you to depart as early as possible, because the road condition is not so favourable. Here, we conclude Tibet cycling adventure. We are quite confident that you will return your home with so much of sweet Memories and our guide will see you off at kyirong friendship bridge.

Detailed Itinerary
1st day at Lhasa(3600 mt high):

Upon arrival, our guide and the driver will greet you either at airport or railway station and drive to your respective hotel in Lhasa, stay at hotel for adapting to the high altitude, as it, s good if you don, t push yourself harsh and take it easy. Even if you want to walk out, make it light as it, s your first day in Tibet. And make sure that you drink mineral water more than usual. Try to avoid having alcohol on first three nights in Tibet. Your guide will introduce you the tomorrow, s program.

2nd day at Lhasa:

Full day sightseeing of Lhasa, in the morning, you can visit the treasure house Potala Palace- the center attraction of whole Lhasa. It is founded in 7th century and since then it had been used as a palace of every successive leaders of Tibet. In the afternoon, your guide will lead you to visit the Sera monastery, which was founded in 1419, in 15th century. It, s the second largest yellow hat lineage monastery in whole Lhasa. if you are hiking enthusiast or don, t show any sign of altitude sickness, ask your guide to lead an hour hiking through the pilgrimage path around the monastery and it, s worth taking chance. While visiting monastery, you will witness the monks doing philosophical debates in the courtyard.

3rd day at Lhasa:

Today, we will visit Drepung monastery, it was once the largest yellow hat lineage monastery of whole of Tibet and it was founded in 1416 and one get to see some magnificent statues of Buddha which are dated back to 15th century. Even if it was badly affected during the cultural revolution but still some of the original buildings which are dated back to 15th century can be seen even today.

In the afternoon, your guide shall guide to the Jokhang temple which is situated in the old Tibetan quarter of Lhasa. It was founded in 7th century, considered one of the first Buddhist temple ever built up in whole Tibet, founded even before the full fledge Buddhism came to Tibet. Founding this Buddhist temple is a mark of initiating the Buddhism here. After the visit, we advise you to take a circumambulation around the temple, as you can witness some of hundred year old authentic buildings and you will come across hundreds of local pilgrims doing pilgrimage circuit around the temple. If you are interested in shopping, you will be welcomed by souvenir shop owners. You will be escorted to the hotel by our tour guide.

4th day Lhasa – Chushul Bridge(80km.)

Today it is an easy day as we bike from Lhasa to Chushul Bridge on the Friendship Highway and there is no passes to climb up. However, we will ride bike along the Lhasa river and meet the famous Yarlung Tsangpo River (it also called Brahmaputra River when it falls in India) at Chushul. After our lunch stop along the route we will continues for few kilometers to our days destination camp site.

5th day Chushul -Yamdrok Lake (4770m). 70km.

Today is comparatively hard day, as we will climb over the Gampala pass (4900m) through numbers of switch backs. Though it can be challenging with this altitude and steep road but your supporting trucks will keep you watching and if you want, you can take the car for some distance and then continue biking after having relax. Once you get on top of the pass, the amazing view of the lake gives you wonderful and worth full feeling of your journey. You can also see the great glacier Neychen Khangsar (7191m), surrounding by different snow-caped mountains all around. Ascending from the pass for 19km, we are going to camp near the lake. But we may not encourage you to swim because the lake is considered to be holy lake for local people. Camping

6th day Yamdrok Lake –Ralung village (4350m) 80km.

Today we bike to Ralung or further based on the physical condition of the group members, riding over the southern friendship highway along the Yamdrok Lake and enjoy the beautiful movement of the journey, moving further to the next town that is Nagartse (4400m), a small town which is very popular for lunch stops for tourist. On the left side of the town on a small hill, you can see a monastery called Samding monastery. Many Tibetans believe that the monastery is the home of the earthly incarnation of the goddess Droji Phakmo. However, the second challenging pass is near by the town, Karola pass (5039m). After having a good rest and taking lunch at the same time. Be ready for your new challenge. Once you cross pass, the great and gigantic Nyechen Khangsar Glacier is gazing at you to take some photos meanwhile. And today,s camp site is quite near after the pass and if possible you can carry on some more kilometers. Camping

Now,it,s time to bid farewell to the himalayan peaks and it,s time to retrace the ride back to lhasa.

20th -21st day Neymu village(140KM)- Lhasa(135km)

On 20th day, we will be riding down towards lhasa by using northen friendship high way and it will be pretty easy riding as most of the time , we decend and will be riding along with brahmaputra river and we shall witness some huge river gorges and finally we will catch lhasa river and on the way, if time permits , we will visit a magnificent Tara temple which was founded in 11th century by guru Atisha.
